Welcome aboard the MSC Cruises' Orchestra
“Beautiful! Passionate! Italian,” this is the essence of a cruise aboard the new MSC Orchestra, which features 18 decks, well-appointed staterooms, a fitness/relaxation area, swimming pools, restaurants, shopping and more, all to meet your every desire. The MSC Orchestra boasts the ultimate in Italian elegance for your relaxation and comfort. You'll be delighted by this truly exceptional ship that is both modern and full of character.

Welcome to Barcelona, Spain
Meet your experienced Tour Manager upon arrival at Barcelona who will make your cruise/tour both carefree and enlightening. Enjoy a two night stay in this vibrant city with one night prior to embarking the MSC Orchestra and a second night following your cruise.

Barcelona, capital of Catalonia, is a very old and beloved Mediterranean city. The city’s age becomes obvious in the Gothic Quarter, where remains of the Roman wall and Gothic buildings remain. After an evening’s stay in this vibrant city, enjoy a panoramic excursion of the city enroute to your ship seeing such sites as the Cathedral, the famous Sagrada Familia and Casa Batllo. Also possibly stroll through the Pole Espanyol area and stop at Montjuic Hill. Then board MSC Cruises’ Orchestra, your luxurious home for the next eight nights.

Upon return to Barcelona enjoy either a complete day and overnight at leisure or participate on an optional excursion to see the architectural wonders of this vibrant city. Drive the Paseo de Gracia with its delightful Modernist houses, some designed by Gaudi. Then visit La Pedrera, exhibiting the history and works of Gaudi. Next, Gaudi’s unfinished church La Sagrada Familla.

Genoa, Italy: The Most English of all Italian Cities
The birthplace of Christopher Columbus is full of refined palaces and elegant churches, standing next to humble houses. Museums are filled with Renaissance art from the city's illustrious past. Genoa boasts several spots on the World Heritage List, among them the 16th century Via Garibaldi, with its magnificent palaces, lovely gardens and frescoes. Genoa is also home to the world's oldest working lighthouse, Genoa's city landmark. Take a walk in the historic center with its street vendors and smell the coffee, intermingled with the flavor of pesto sauce.

Malaga, Spain
The great beaches of nearby Costa del Sol are what have made Malaga one of the most visited regions of Spain. But this town has more to offer than just seaside and sunshine! It was founded by Phoenicians, and was of great importance in the Moorish epoch. Highly interesting historical remains are left in the town as well as in the entire province.

Cadiz – Gateway to Seville
It was from the southern port city of Cadiz that Christopher Columbus set sail on his second and fourth voyages to the New World. Today the city enjoys a cultural and historical wealth and is also the gateway to Seville, “the radiant city”. Discover the Cathedral of Seville and supposed last resting place of Christopher Columbus, the Giralda Tower, the exquisite Alcazar Palace and quaint Santa Cruz.

Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon is a city where the natural beauty of its setting on seven hills overlooking the Tagus River, combines with architecture which spans the centuries. On optional excursions visit the Castle of Sao Jorge towering over the city and the exquisite cloisters of the San Jeronimos Monastery. Wander through the narrow lanes of the historic Alfama district admiring picturesque tiled belvederes festooned in flowers. See the ornate Belem Tower which once guarded the entrance to the Tagus River, and the magnificent Monument to the Discoveries.

Gibraltar, United Kingdom
The impervious Rock of Gibraltar (or the Pillar of Hercules) is situated at the southern tip of Spain and stands guard, seperating Europe and Africa. This strategic position has made it the target of endless attacks. Yet despite the battles, The Rock (Crown property of the United Kingdom) has stood firm over the centuries resulting in the well-known English idiom 'as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar'.

During optional excursions of the Rock, visit Europa Point as well as the natural caverns of St. Michael’s Caves. Then from the top of the Rock marvel at spectacular panoramic views over Southern Spain as well as across the Strait of Gibraltar to the north African coastline of Morocco. Also get the chance to “meet” the famous Barbary Apes, the only breed of monkey to be found on the European continent. It is said that the British will not leave Gibraltar until the Barbary Apes leave the Rock!

Alicante, Spain
The cosmopolitan city of Alicante situated on the Costa Blanca has a history of three thousand years. Formerly the Roman city of Lucentum and later conquered by the Moors the city has seen its share of wars and conflicts during the centuries but developed as a flourishing sea trading centre which it remains today. While in Alicante visit the imposing Santa Barbara Castle or admire its beautiful seafront promenade with excellent shops and restaurants while strolling the Esplanade de Espana.
